African butterfly fish
Pantodon buchholzi
About me: Hello, I am an african butterfly fish and I am one thing above all: eager to explore and hungry!
So here are some tips about my attitude: As you can read below, I like to stay in the upper region of your aquarium. Do you know what is really tempting? Jumping out and discovering the world. Okay, even if only for a short time. I often realize afterwards that this could be dangerous. So it is recommended to have a dense growth of floating plants in the aquarium and additionally a cover of the aquarium won't hurt.
For socialization purposes the other housemates should be about the same size as me, but in general you should be certain about what you are doing. Everything else I like to confuse with live food - whoops. Please pay attention to this also with my supposed friends. Some of them are really temptingly small.
By the way, I feel especially comfortable in pairs.
